THE CHILDREN’S LIFE FUND AUTHORITY

The Children’s Life Fund Authority (CLFA) is the body bestowed with the responsibility to operate, manage, and administer the Children’s Life Fund.

THE CHILDREN’S LIFE FUND ACT

The Children’s Life Fund is a charitable fund that was established by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in November 2010 by Act of Parliament – Act No. 12 of 2010, with Amendments to the Act in 2025.

The CLFA ensures that all eligible applicants to the fund are carefully considered by a team of highly qualified Specialist Doctors to ensure that the “Best Care Plan” is determined and carefully executed. The CLFA’s first priority is the well-being of the child and his/her family.

MISSION

To provide funding and support for children with life-limiting illnesses, while enriching families with hope and strength.

ORGANISATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The Objectives of the CLFA are as follows:

·       To operate, manage and administer the Children’s Life Fund.

·       To facilitate the provision of specialist medical treatment to children suffering from life-limiting illnesses for which the required treatment is unavailable at a local medical institution.

·       To manage the Life Unit.

·       To collect and invest funds.
